We are authorized to perform a wide variety of fingerprinting services. However, if your particular occupation requires a fingerprint background check for licensing purposes within the state of South Carolina, you will most likely need to be fingerprinted by IdenToGo. However, if you are unable to visit one of their locations, we can help by printing an official card for use with the IdenToGo "mail-in" option for SC and numerous other states.

Ink fingerprinting is the traditional method of first pressing a fingertip on an ink pad and then manually rolling each digit onto a physical card to make an impression. Similarly, the live scan method captures the fingerprint by using an electronic device for the purpose of digital submission and/or for printing on an official card. With the use of modern live scan technology, the fingerprinting process is more convenient, provides better accuracy and decreases the risk of fingerprint rejection.

EITHER of these two methods is acceptable for capturing prints on a fingerprint card.

When electronic submission is not required, prints can be captured on an official fingerprint card (FD258). This service is typically used when mailing the physical card to a requesting agency located out of state

Upon request, the FBI will provide individual consumers with their Identity History and Criminal Background Summary, also known as a rap sheet. An increasingly popular service for those wanting to personally review their records within the FBI nationwide database. It can be used for piece of mind, a safeguard against surprises or for correcting erroneous information. We can submit your fingerprints to the FBI via secure channeling; the results are sent directly from the FBI via email to you or an authorized recipient. The results of an identity history summary provided by the FBI are never sent directly to us. Note: we can also capture fingerprints on an official card for mailing to the FBI but this method of submission extends the overall return time of your results.
